Dec 1st: successful ankle surgery. 🩹
Dec 11th: upgrade to boot. 🥾
Dec 23rd: allowed to walk and start physical therapy. 🚶🏽‍♀️
Jan 20th: lose the boot, given lace brace, and can walk in my shoes again 🙌🏽
This last month and a half has been very crazy, but successful. I can’t believe how far I’ve come from the surgery. Just have to continue physical therapy for the next two months until the next follow up!

Happy New Years 2021! 🎉

Our usual New Years was a bit different this year. Spent the night ringing in the New Years just with ourselves. A nice little change of pace. 🥰

I’m not going to lie, 2020 was honestly the most difficult year in my life. It felt like it went on forever. We went from an adventurous Jan/Feb, to a pandemic that completely put a stop to everything. Despite the many downs and stressful times, I’m glad I had my wonderful fiancee with me all the way. Especially during this last month with my surgery; but, here I am finally standing and walking! 🙌🏽

Positive highlights from 2020: Tried to enjoy some of my free time, I turned 30, got some planning rolling with our wedding next year, really tried to focus on me, and had successful ankle surgery despite the complications. All-in-all, I’m just glad to make it thru this entire year. 😊

We won’t know what 2021 will bring us. But there’s no “New year, New me” slogan. For this new year, I’ll be trying to look at the positive things in life and take on any challenges that may come! In addition to getting healthy, losing weight, and having a successful October wedding! 💪🏽

The ultimate surprise at the end was you down on one knee, asking me to be your wife. After many tears, I said yes. It was the best Christmas ever of my life and I’ll never forget it. 💍

Ankle surgery was a success! Something I’ve been dealing with for the last year and a half hopefully will be better in a couple of months. 😊
Also, they were NOT kidding on how big the dressing was going to be on my ankle. 😅

Unfortunately, what happened afterwards is honestly scary… 😥

Towards the end of my procedure I ended up having bronchial spasm. I also heard my lungs stopped working for a bit. Due to the spasm, they had to send me to the hospital. Lungs sound good; but, turns out it caused a small infection of pneumonia in my lungs. 😭

Currently laid up in a hospital room and I’ll be on antibiotics during the night. I didn’t think that something I was sick with 30 years ago would affect me today. 😓

Okay, so I am an on again off again Magic The Gathering player. So we decided to get some neat nerdy things.
Rob got me a new Ajani Playmat which the purchase supports Extra Life 2020 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The donations stay local to fund critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
In addition we got neat Ravina coasters which shows each of the builds. When I first started playing Magic, Ravnica and Return to Ravnica were the sets I got into.
